Every team needs its own reports — shaped to its policies, its partners and its regulators. A weekly list of violations per affiliate, a monthly board summary, an audit pack for one campaign, a daily feed into your own systems.
Report Builder lets you create those reports yourself: choose the data, decide what each row means, and set when and where the report is delivered. You build it once; Sedric sends it on your schedule.
Which one do you need?
You want | Use |
Everything about one item, as a document | Export report from the item itself (see Asset report) |
A standard report Sedric already provides | New report and pick a template |
A report shaped to your own question, audience or schedule | Report builder — this article |
Opening Report Builder
Open Reports from the left menu.
Select Report builder at the top right.
Give the report a name that says what it answers — for example, Weekly disclaimer violations by affiliate.
You can also start from any existing template: pick it under New report and select Customize in builder. You get an editable copy with the same fields and filters — the original template stays unchanged.
Building a report, step by step
Choose the product. MC Copilot (pre-release marketing review), MC Post (post-release and affiliate monitoring) or CC Post (communications analysis). The field groups stay the same; the fields inside them change to match the product's data.
Decide what each row is. See the table below.
Pick fields. Click a field to add it as a column, or drag it to Columns or Filters. Drag columns to reorder them.
Filter. Drop a field on Filters and choose its values. With no filters, the report covers everything in scope.
Sort. Choose a field under Sort by.
Check the preview. The table under the fields shows sample rows so you can see the shape of the report as you build it.
Select Continue to delivery.
What each row can be
Row option | Use it when |
One row per asset / interaction | You want each item once, with its findings rolled up — for example, a list of assets awaiting approval. |
One row per finding | You want every individual detection — for example, a remediation list to send to a partner. |
One row per affiliate / agent / creator per week | You want to compare people or partners over time — for example, a weekly agent quality digest. |
One row per rule | You want to see where violations concentrate across your policies. |
One document per asset / interaction | You need an evidence pack — findings, evidence, comments and history in one PDF or Word file per item — for an auditor or regulator. |
The fields you can use
Fields are organized in the same groups across every product:
Group | What's in it |
Subject | The item itself — asset name and URL, channel, language, review status; for calls, interaction ID, direction, duration. |
Evaluation | The analysis results — compliance score, risk score, overall and agent scores, scorecard. |
Finding | Each result — rule or criterion result, reason, fix suggestion, whether a reviewer changed it. |
Rule | Policy, category, rule or criterion, and how it's weighted — severity in Marketing Compliance, weight and auto-fail in Communication Compliance. |
Actor | Who's behind the item — creator, affiliate, agent, unit or team. |
Workflow & review | Assignee, reviewer, task status, comments, disputes and review activity. |
Coverage | What couldn't be analyzed, and why — for example, unreachable pages or calls too short to check. |
AI context (CC Post) | Facts Sedric understood from the conversation, such as call disposition, dispute, complaint or hardship. Set up per organization. |
Custom | Your own fields — the metadata your organization sends with its content, such as campaign or region. |
Measures | Ready-made numbers — see below. |
Time | Dates, plus day, week and month for grouping. |
Hover over any field to see what it means. A Σ next to a field means it's rolled up at the row level you chose, for example counted per asset. A small dot next to a field means its data is still limited — hover to see why.
Ready-made measures
Measures are calculated the same way for everyone, so a number in your report means the same thing as the same number in your colleague's report.
Counts — assets, interactions, findings, violations, fails.
Fail rate / Pass rate — failed (or passed) results out of all evaluated results.
Average score — the average of the product's score.
Override rate — how often a reviewer changed the AI's result.
Time to review — from analysis to review decision.
Rounds to approval (Marketing Compliance) — how many versions an asset went through before approval.
Coverage rate — the share of items analyzed, with reasons for the rest.
Affiliate and agent roll-ups — such as violations per affiliate, or the share of calls with a complaint.
Reporting on more than one product
Marketing assets and calls aren't connected row by row, so a report that covers both is built as sections: select Add section and choose a different product for each. Every section has its own fields and filters, and they're delivered together as one report.
Delivery: when, where and how
On the Delivery step, decide how the report reaches people.
Schedule — one-off, daily, weekly, monthly, or on an event such as a new critical finding.
Measure — absolute values, or period-over-period to add comparison columns against the previous period.
Only deliver when a condition is met — for example, only when the fail rate goes above a threshold you set.
Destination — email, Slack, an API webhook, your organization's sFTP server, or Sedric Cloud.
Format — CSV or XLSX for working with the data, PDF for a formatted document, Word when you want to edit before sending it on, and JSON for your own systems.
Output options
One file per affiliate or agent — each file holds only that affiliate's or agent's rows, so you can forward it as is. You can also split per unit.
Start with a summary (PDF and Word) — key numbers and one chart at the top of each section.
Leave out findings a reviewer marked as false positive — so partners only see real issues.
Download link — choose how long emailed links stay valid.
Managing your reports
Report history — every run, when it was generated, how it was delivered, and its status. Download any past run from here.
Scheduled reports — everything set to run on a schedule. Open one to change its fields, schedule or recipients.
Every run is also kept in Sedric Cloud for audit and API access, whatever destination you chose.
Getting a useful report
Start from a template when one is close. Customize in builder is faster than starting from scratch.
Choose the row first. Deciding what each row is — an asset, a finding, an affiliate per week — makes every other choice easier.
Filter before you schedule. A report answering one question is worth more than one containing everything.
Match the format to the audience. Word for partners you'll correspond with, PDF for boards and regulators, CSV or JSON for your own systems.
Use a condition for alerts. If you only care when something changes, set a delivery condition instead of reading an unchanged report every week.
